BUILDING CONSTRUCTION& MATERIAL
WEEKLY LESSON TASK
Every Wednesday after the BCM lesson is conducted, students will be given tutorial task to ensure students' learning progress is followed up. It also has a aim to let students to remember everything covered after the discussion. Below are the slides that i did for each of every tutorial tasks assigned
OVERVIEW:
In this part, we are required to study an architecture building from our chosen famous architecture. We are to define 5 Architectural material & 2 Structural material base on case study. The purpose of doing this assignment is to let students to understand the reasoning of choosing material to apply on exterior and interior of the building. There are factors in considering when it comes to choose material such as characters , properties , influence on design building etc.
OUTCOME:
By the 12 May 2021, we are to compile our studies information into 2 A3 power point in addition an A4 consist of reference list in the TIMES platform.
REFLECTION
Spending effort in this assignment ,I learnt a lot about the detail of a particular material and some concerns when applying materials to designed building. As it was said not every material fits in every designed building as the concept behind are different from each other. I also shocked to find out the high relation that material had with the building to bring out its uniqueness to attract people attention. Following the advancement of technology, there are more invention on architecture material and there is yet a long way to explore various usage of material in this field.

PROJECT 1 DEFINING STRUCTURAL & ARCHITECTURAL MATERIAL
PROJECT 2 CONTRUSCTING DETAILNG OF BUILDING ELEMENT
OVERVIEW:
Forming a group of 7, each of every member are to produce drawings which show connection detailing of building elements from the foundation to roof aspects. Our group has chosen a concrete building as our case study for this project. It is to further develop students' understanding toward the detail while constructing a building as mentioned in different aspect like pre construction set up ,preliminary process, foundation process, super& post superstructure lastly house othographic drawing sets.
OUTCOME:
By week 14 , we are to submit a set of drawings that covered up the whole construction detailing of our chosen building in slides and labelled the name at the side of the distributed task.

REFLECTION
In a nutshell, I felt that I have way more to learn in terms of constructing detail of a building as building in the future might get complicated than another. It has somehow risen my awareness to know more knowledge in this field to secure myself so that i wont get cheated when the construction process gone wrong. I also think is a good course to improve my pathway to become an architect as it is all about constructing a building and considerations taken before applying suitable material in every corners/parts of a building. Also, I had also learnt everything about the process taken before a building is built in a particular site ,turns out achieving the objective of studying this course.
